Oregon Hunting

When it comes to big game hunting, Oregon has everything it takes to make a hunter’s bucket list. There is over 34 million acres of public land open to hunters. Oregon has very diverse habitats ranging from coastal rain forests to eastern deserts and big mountain ranges in between. Trophy hunters have the opportunity to hunt many species including Rocky and Roosevelt elk, Blacktail, Whitetail and Mule deer as well as a great trophy program for Antelope and Bighorn sheep. Oregon’s Umpqua valley is also the only place in the world you can hunt Columbian Whitetail deer. Oregon has an ample supply of hunting opportunities with over the counter tags for Roosevelt elk, Blacktail deer and Black bears. Archery hunters can purchase an over the counter general  season tag which is good in nearly every unit of state. The general archery tag is good for one elk, either a Rocky Mountain or Roosevelt. While there are several options to hunt deer and elk with an over the counter tag, rifle hunters seeking Rocky Mountain elk and Mule deer will need to apply in the controlled draw or purchase a guaranteed outfitter tag.  Guaranteed Outfitter tags are available until March 31st for those who wish to avoid the public controlled drawing.

Upfront Outfitters offers premium hunts on both pubic and private land throughout Oregon. We are well experienced hunting a variety of species. We specialize in over the counter archery and rifle tags for Roosevelt elk and Blacktail deer as well as premium draw, once in a lifetime and auction hunts for Bighorn sheep, Antelope, Rocky Mountain elk and Mule deer.
No matter what species you desire to hunt or which tag you have drawn we can plan and execute a successful trip. Most of our hunts are conducted from tent base camps and remote spike camps so that we are able to put you in remote areas and closer to non pressured game. We offer primitive backpack hunts for the go getters and in some cases can accommodate motel hunts for those who require modern accommodations. No matter what tag you have acquired, we have the time, the resources and the dedication that leads to success.

Whether you have drawn a once in a lifetime tag, need assistance applying for the right controlled hunt or just want a great hunting opportunity with an Oregon over the counter tag, Upfront Outfitters is your trusted resource and a name you can count on.
